Thanks for extending my concerns to the powers that be. I think you will have a lot more attendance from the faster cars by recognizing how these rules will affect everyone.

One more question. Is it ok to bring the cars on a trailer. Many of us could drive to Halsville, but would rather bring them on trailers so we wouldn't be stranded if something broke.

Trailers are fine, believe me I have broken out there the last two times on the starting line and its a long ride back. Lucky for me both times I had a trailer.

Ok I am a noob to actual class racing... my toy (In sig) will be ready to play with by then, and I dont belive that I will make a better then 11.5 roll on DR's. But I saw mention of poweradders, and I have an STS turbo... This is my daily driver... with kick.

So where do I fit in?

If your running DR's you can run in any bracket class or if you want to try your luck at the Q8's you can run in the XTREME Street. You could also run in WHATCHBRUNG but the guys in that class mostly run ET Streets and Skinnes. If you put your stock tires back on (OEM style tires) you can run in True Street.

True Street-Quick 8 heads up race. Tires must be D.O.T. approved and are limited to 355s or 11.5" widths. OEM street tires ONLY. We are explicitly excluding Drag Radials ,MT ET Streets (or similar) and front skinnies from this class.

So this class doesn't matter if your running NOS, Tubos or SC or if your NA. You just have to be running on OEM style street tires. NO Drag Radials or shaved tires allowed. This class if for your typical street car that you would run against at a red light to red light race.

Something I dont like and this is just me voicing my opinion, is most of our cars ARENT going to hook up, even the stock ones, in some of the classes I see drag radials arent allowed. I dont see why atleast drag radials arent allowed in the classes because these cars on street tires might not be safe, plus pointless to race. I'm going to ask off work and see if I can go but I have a bolton car plus a stall and I know it wont hook up on street tires. I roll around the street on nittos. Again this is just me voicing my opinion.

You are 100% correct that some cars are not safe on OEM style street tires. That is why we have 6, Q8 classes. There is only 2 classes that DR's are not allowed in "True Street" and "OEM Stock" your car has to many mods to fit into "OEM Stock" and if you want to run DR's they you can got into any of the Q8 classes other than the "TRUE Street". We should have a class for everyone. Hope to see you there.

I'm not running the TA at the track. Ill be running the Z28. What class would a bolton Z28 fall into? Is this going to be on a pro tree or regular tree?

On your Z the only class that goes off of mods are the NA classes and the OEM Stock class. If you have more that a cat back and a air box then you can't run in OEM Stock and if you have a power adder you can't run in the NA classes. Other than those classes, the classes are determine on what tires you are running. As far as the tree goes in the brackets we use the regular tree. In the Q8 we have used both the regular and the pro. I have not heard which it will be for this race yet, but I will check on it. I like the pro for the Q8's myself.

Could we bring our shop car along to make "exhibition" type runs?

We will prolly have a few customers cars there, since one of ours did win at the last race
