DFW: new arrival (Finally!!)

DFW: new arrival (Finally!!) so i finally arrived in Fort Worth on friday night! i'm pretty excited about being here, except for the fact that my cars havent arrived yet... as a matter of fact, they are still in MA, and i will be having some choice words with the trucking company on monday morning.
i'll probably be another week before i see my cars, but i'd still like to find out about the local f-body hang outs in the area... i'm located in southern ft. worth, just north of crowley, and about 4 miles south of the hulen mall. for those more familiar with the area, i'm kinda near the intersection of altamesa blvd and hulen street. a while ago someone mentioned a meetup at the the hulen hooters, so i'd to know more about that.
any info on the nearest 1/4mi track would be great, and if anyone has an opinion on what the local authorities think about fast cars, that'd be great too.
i'm looking forward to being part of the DFW f-body scene!

and yes we are having a meet at the hooters across the highway from the hulen mall saturday man u should try to come out we will be getting up there around 7:30 or 8:00
and as cars go as long as u have an inspection they really dont care i just got rid of my cats and haved no problems with the cops

Welcome to Fort Worth. There are quite a few guys around here. I am down in Burleson just south of Crowley.
You ought to try and make it to the EOM meet at hooters. I haven't had a chance to make it out myself yet. And of course I have to work this Saturday!

yeah, we'll see... the auto transport company has been feeding me a load of BS every day for the past week, so i'm getting pretty close to having to cancel my order and go with another company... which sucks because everyone's rates have gone up like $400, and i dont have the extra money to blow because of all the other expenses i've been paying... and my lack of a job... and i cant interview for jobs until i get my damn car!!!
