Very True about N.O.. They had more reason to fear than us. I feel for them, but I don't feel for the people stranded, ecspecially the ones who lived in NW houston, who didnt even need to evacuate.

yea, a drop of 5 mph in wind speed makes it a wimpy storm ..
problem now isn't the wind .. it is the water .. and up to 25" inches of rain is not something to laugh at, if it slows down like it looks to do.

Ive heard from 4 different casters, that by the time it hits land, it'll be a CAT1, and proceed to move as a tropical storm.

not to worried here, got everything i need and dont think it will flood, boarded up all the windows with tons of screws. On lockdown as of 10 mins ago.

the size and the amount of water scare me more than wind speed ..
expect hurricane winds 85 100 miles inland, and tropical storm winds over 200 miles inland. combine that with up to 25" of rain by Monday morning .. and we are looking at a big mess ..
