I was stunned that they pitched to him as well, but it would have looked bad to move the tying run into scoring position as well. It was a tough call to make. Pujols has had a great NLCS. He was 0-4 going into his last at bat, but was batting .400+ in the rest of the NLCS. He had led off 5 of 7 AB's in games 2-4. He got hits, but they were wasted. My point is that at that AB in the 9th he was due, and he got a pitch to drive.

if choke = a loss, then in the NFL 31 teams choke every year and 29 in MLB. there is such things as great players making great plays. some might find this crazy but your gunna lose a game every once in awhile. the ball isn't always gunn take a friendly hop, unless your the 72 Dolphins
