Are Blackouts Legal in Tx
I just found the blackouts I've been wanting for the rear tails, but I was wondering if they are legal, I would love to get these since my car is black. If anyone knows if you can have these let me know before I get them . Thanks in advance.

I havent had any problems with mine. When night comes I just slide them off. They do get annoying the front ones that is sooo just do the whistler mod or buy halos. The rear ones are great and light up fine.

yep illegal reason being is they do not reflect red..this is why the came out with those horrible Alzetres, I think thats how they are spell them, lights. And the front ones are illegal if the officer deems that they cant been seen from 500 ft, i think its 500 but i know that they have to be seen from a distance. This coming for years of reading the texas dot books, and yea i have no life!

I've have GTS blackouts on my '00 Camaro (over a year now), and I had 'em on my '96 Camaro also.....I pretty sure they aren't legal, but I have never been given any grief over them though.
One thing about the covers.....the heat build-up underneath them will cause the taillights to dent in slightly.
