That's correct. I got my ABS delete block from Billingsley. Its a nice piece and bolts right up. I belive it will trip the INOP and Brake light and you're not able to turn them off, so I took the cluster apart and put a piece of electrical tape over those words so the light doesn't shine through.

Also get a porportioning valve to balance the brakes back out or else you will have too much rear power.

yea long story . but reason for doing this was that my abs block was broken and mangled up. and i know those things arent cheap. so i was doing the abs delete for money reasons and the line lock really isnt needed. but if its the only way it can be run then ill just do it.

I talked with Jay Billingsley about his !ABS kit before, don't recall him saying anything about requiring a line lock. don't see why you'd need one.

I have the Billingsley one and the SLP line lock, but you don't have to have a line lock. It mounts in the factory position and all the taps that the original block had. If you have a line lock, one of the brake lines is replaced with the line lock and its 2 lines. In other words, if you were looking at my setup, you would delete the line lock and the factory line would go from the block back to the master cylinder, so yes it will work without a linelock. Hope that helps.

Our kits can be purchased without a line lock kit for 139.99 (for folks whom own a line lock already) and INCLUDE a proportion valve to correctly bias your brakes after removing the stock valving. For 40.00 more(if you don't have a line lock), you receive the line lock, master arm switch, control switch, LED indicator all connectors and wire w/directions...even a grommet...you can't even purchase the line lock solenoid separatly for 40.00!.

If you don't plan on using the line lock...which I'm unsure why not...you don't have to use it. You don't even have to wire it in....just connect it through as a fitting...at some point when you want to use it, connect it up using the included hardware.

A line lock is certainly a benifit and good investment to clean off the tires in a controlled manner. You'll saving the brakes, calipers and drivetrain since you no longer have to do a brakestand.

There was a recent post regarding them listed ....one person posted an installed kit...here's what one looks like from his link. There's a few markings around it since he was asking a few questions...but you get the idea. The line lock is off the to right side (almost cut out of the picture).

https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...chmentid=45172

As you can see, you remove everything, the ABS modulator, the ABS bracket...everything related to ABS creating a more open area for air flow as well as other components i.e. supercharger, turbo etc. This make for a clean install. The bracket weighs quite a bit...especially on an LT1.
