Wife's car got broken into!!!!!
Well, my wife's **** got broken into and the moron ******* didnt take anything but the shitty head unit. I wouldnt be pissed if it was the only thing that had happened.
Well, goodbye driver's side window. It appears that the brick was no match for the glass. (only good thing that came out of it is that the glass stuck to the tint.) That is the ONLY good thing.
However, has anyone ever had their "automatic transmission" car broken into?
The reason I ask is because the thief yanked the shifter back out of park into nuetral. And now I think the linkage is FUBAR'd. well I finally got it in drive, but what the hell do I do about it? Can I just take the shifter off and then put it in the appropriate position or whats the deal? It is basically stuck there. I had to disconnect the battery because the key was still stuck in the ignition.
<--------------- own's an M6 has not alot of experience with the shifter on an auto.
HELP ME!

you should just be able to install a new linkage cable. I used to have an auto 92 camaro that the linkage broke in reverse in a wendys drive through with 10 people behind me. I just pulled it back and then pulled the ebrake got under it and shifted it by hand into drive drove home then pulled the cable and reinstalled and all was good. Also you might wanna take the top apart and check the fittings on the inside as one time my moms fell of on her 4 runner and I just pulled the top apart and zip tied the fitting back on and it was good to go again
