Yeah there is not that much to it. I looked into doing it a few years ago for some legal issues I was having LOL! But lost motivation. Just need to look at the requirements for motorcycles as that is the closest thing that it would be catogorized as etc... Good luck.

I believe for an ATV you can get around inspections with an all-terrain vehicle validation sticker...for the street you'd be safe with:

two rear facing mirrors, a horn, brake lights, running lights, turn signals front and back, low beam head light, high beam head light, rear facing red reflectors, a horn, license plate light?, more then 2/32 inch tread from the tread bar indicator (if you have one) and the tires can't say "not for highway use" on them, intact exhaust system, good brakes...That would sasisfy me, and I don't think they could give up much **** if you had all that, though I can't guarentee you that this is all that's required.

I got my mini chopper legal and the steps were as follows:

1: Headlights, high and low beam
2: Tail and Brake light, I fabbed up a vertical plate mount and mounted it to that
3: Horn
4: at least one mirror
5: Turn signals or know your hand signals.

Once I had this stuff, I took it to my local state inspection place and they did a state safety inspection. Got the sticker and put it on the inside of my liscense plate mount. Also, you will need to ask for a "Green Sheet" from the inspection place.

Get it insured, that's the only way it's ever gonna get registered.

Take the title, or certificate of origin (from manufacturer, if it didn't come with one, contact them) , proof of purchase and proof of insurance to the tax office in Pasadena on Main St, NOT ANY OTHER OFFICE!! All the other offices are stupid and 2 sent me on really bad wild goose chases. The ladies in the Pasadena office took care of it quick and clowned the other offices for the stupid **** they were trying to make me do. You will pay for taxes on the bike and registration here. You will also get your plate here.

Keep in mind, the State still has the ability to reject the vehicle, but once you get a title in your hand, you're good to go.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Gabe, I replied to your pm.

Don't you know that screens are only for pimp trucks and race cars? There's not enough juice from the battery to even turn the starter now that I have the extra lights going so there's not going to be too much more custom **** done to it. Just for kicking around the neighborhood. If I can find a better battery that won't overwork the stator I'll probably do a remote start and alarm, but I think that'll be the end. Look me up next time you're out there and I'll let you ride it......if you can handle the power.
