Default Car audio hookup anyone?

Upgrading sound system in the truck and was wondering if anyone had a hook up that you could send me to? Here's what I'm looking for:

1 - JL Audio E1400D
2 - JL Audio 10W3V2
1 - JL Audio E4300
4 - Focal 6 1/2" 165V2 or Focal 165V3E

Thanks!

Have you listened to the QSD series Quarts, Diamond D9s or Morel Hybrids?

The Quarts are the best sounding speakers I've ever heard and you can get them for about the same price if you shop around. My friends shop dropped Quart though and was out of stock so I went with the D9s which are pretty close in a sound board but with lots more warranty.

This is actually my 2nd system, so I don't have too much experience with car audio. I remember him wanting me to updgrade my mids and highs years back when I had my 1st system with MB Quartz, but he didn't mention them this time around. My 1st system consisted of JL Audio subs and a PPI amp (Precision Power). He didn't recommend the PPI amps this time because he says they aren't what they used to be as they were bought out by another company. I just go by what he says.

In my opinion Focal mids are much better than mb quarts mids. But If I was going to go highend for a set of components agian hands down I would go with Dyn Audio over both.

I just sold my GT that had Focal Utopias up front and loved them, but just prefer the Dyn system.

Have you tried ebay?? I bought practically my whole system off of ebay. It all consists of JL Audio. It saved me over $500! You might want to check it out.

You really can't go wrong with either.

And your Utopias sound friggin awesome, they would sound even better in a larger cab of a slightly larger vehicle.

Ebay = no warranty

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/jlaudio_pages.php?page_id=111

I've bought several old Kicker XS series amps on ebay but I always assume they need to be repaired and I don't expect a warranty since they are cheater amps. That and no dealer has any of then in stock any more so you are pretty much stuck buying used if you want to run them.

I bought my system off of ebay and saved almost 50%....

As for the warranty thing, I'm getting my amp warrantied through kicker right now. I'm having to wait because they're sending me a 2006 model to relpace it with.

Some were from companies and some were from individuals. But that is true. You don't have a warranty on JL Audio equipment that you buy from ebay. It has been almost a yr since I installed my whole system in my car and I haven't had any problems. I purchased 2 JL Amps, 1 JL Components set, & 1 JL Coaxial set. I also bought all of my wiring from ebay. That saved me quite a bit of money

I just need some good amps, Those Rockford Power 800's I have are old and starting to make the speakers sound like kinda funny. I'm thinking about pulling the Utopias out and building some bad *** home audio tower speaker boxes and putting thme in there..

I have bought a lot of stuff off of these guys, and they are VERY inexpensive and local. Let them install it too. It's too cheap to pass up.

If this is stepping on any sponsor's toes, remove it.

They are a sponsor over at houston-imports.com. They have a section over there where you can request a quote. Or, just give Sam a call. Seriously, you won't find anyone cheaper, and if you have any problems with any equipment, he stands behind his stuff.

At this point, I have a friend who is already doing the installation and building of the box. What's different about this time and the first system he built for me 5 years back, is that he has a shop with another guy he partnered up with and I feel that I'm not getting the best price. The guy doing it is a good friend of mine and I feel he's obligated to charge me more than what he would normally. So I'm trying to get pricing to see whether or not I'm getting a good deal. I trust the work, but I'm a bit weary about the price now because the situation is different. Then another big difference, is that my friend won't be doing the actual installation and building of the box, it will be his partner. However, I don't mind this as my friend learned from this guy over 10 years ago.
