Default LS1 Tuner needed

Im looking for tuner, not really looking for a shop kinda deal here. Just a tuner who knows what there doing to tune my car so i can get rid of this POS hypertech. Around the Gainsville/Denton area. Possibly dallas, but just let me know where your located. Thanks, Jesse H.

Check out LGM in Wylie if you're set on Dallas, but if you're in DFW might as well go to SQR in Fort Worth.

Go check out Non Sponsor.

*you know better than to post nonsponsor contact info*

Mail order tunes from TSP are fairly cheap as well.

Jessedale, I'm from Gainesville and took my car to SQR. There isn't a sole up there or here in Denton that I'd let tune my car. Better yet, I don't know of anyone with the knowledge up there to tune on an EFI car.
Carb'd yes....... EFI nope.

From what i gather from reading Nineballs posts about this issue, as long as a tuner doesnt solicit his deals then its okay. Im asking for it, not undermining the sponsors.

I would suggest SQR, if you dont want to pay their prices then your going to have a car that runs like crap.

I just check the SQR website. 400-500$ seems a little expensive when i can buy HP tuners for 500$ and tune it myself.

Good luck with that. If you don't have a back ground with tuning you could really mess some stuff up if you aren't careful

Ok. Since you are trying to mostly just rid yourself of the HPP3, then I would suggest waiting until you do LT or a cam before spending the $400-500 on a tune.

looking at your sig, I can't see why you need anything other than an HPP3. Its not like these cars run poorly from the factory, there isn't some magical button that custom tuners push to add mega horsepower to a relatively stock car.

Yeah, but we aren't allowing this nonsponsor's contact information to be posted either.
If I didnt edit it, any other mod that saw this thread would have.

Go for it man, good luck to you, but just take a gander in the PCM section and see if you can understand that stuff, if so, then go for it. Otherwise stop trying to be a cheapass to get something done that averages that price anywhere.

Good luck with whatever you do, but it sounds like you should spend the money with a compitent tuner rather than trying to do it yourself.
