Default Coworker going to quit

I saw him today since I go to school with him, hes been working at this place for a good 5 or 6 years now. He said he got a better job offer else where, they already dump a lot of work on him which he cant finish in the time given since **** has to run on a set schedule, this means I generally have to help him, ******* me over far as getting my **** done, it ends up being 3 or 4 hours wasted helping, no way I can get out of it too. I dont know what his terms or time periods are, but we are all prety much maxing out as is on hours, with him gone its going to royally **** every one over. Me included since I would ahve to pick up the slack left behind. He was saying he may try and work some thing out where he stays untill they find a replacement, dont know how well that could work out. If he does leave this will royally suck

sorry for your newly shitty situation, but as i am looking for a new job, i must ask you what his job was, and where your company is located.

if the answer is IT support, and Fort Worth, then i have some emails to send you.

Suck it up Neil.

Just put in some OT for a few weeks since you get paid hourly. Then ask for a raise.

They wont give me OT, after I hit my cap per week of 20hrs, thats it, I cant only save them for vaction time. I wish I got over time, that wouldnt be a problem then.

Tell your boss to double your salary and in return you'll work twice as hard

I keep telling my boss that, but he's not getting the hint...

With oil at 65 bucks a barrel its time to take advantage of this red hot market in the oil patch. People from my company are dropping like flies to go to better offers. It happening everywhere in Houston. I've got my resume out...

You're in the oil field and can't get OT? Dunno what company, but that's crazy. We're having to tell management we can't work 24/7 where I work. Gotta get it while the gettin's good in the this bussiness....
