I have seen the video, a fine is all it needed. It was a punch that had no force behind it. But the NBA says it was a closed fist so it is what it is.

Are you that biased? The fact that he even threw a punch is pathetic enough. They are playing basketball not boxing. There is never a need for a punch.

somewhat shocked...

I agree.

He didn't deserve the suspension but the NBA rule is 1 game for throwing a closed-fist punch...no exceptions.

Have you ever been involved in a game in which you pour your heart and soul into ? Something your so passionate about that you give it your all ? Things such as the nut punch happens, heat of the game and high emotions. I am not biased just more understanding.

All those great moments in sports history where nut punches "just happen". There is nothing respectable about hitting another guy in the nuts. Stop fooling yourself.

This one of the greatest explanations I have ever read for justifying punching in the nuts.

Those things happen to certain individuals who have no self-control over their emotions. One could elaborate further on those type of people, but that is not my place.

P.S. howcome there is DVD called Bum Fights, but there is no CEO Fights (yet)?

He got punched oh well, Mavs would have been punched oh well. It is a game of millionares playing a childs game and these guys are in it to win by any means. So please get off your high horse and how bad you think it is because you are blowing this way out of purportion, it was not a smart move by Terry but it happened.

When playing in a sport of high emotion and contact things happen that are not perfect or exactly what one may be most proud of. But plain and simple you do whatever it takes to win.

And your question is one that you may need to forward to FOX broadcasting, although the CEO of Southwest Airline has boxed another CEO/ high ranking official.

cite nut punching incidents in chronological order from most recent to first

I mean since they're so common

This does make the second reported in the playoffs, although the first was more of a pull and tug. Things like this happen all the time just not always such observant replay 18-20 hours later.

actually more than we think, there is contact we do not see. Well I do suppose we could go review every game from the past season and point out these altercations.

yeah players maliciously punch others in the nuts all the time

only it's never on sportscenter and never have I seen it in any game i've ever watched college or pro, and if it does happen under the radar nobody has ever taken exception to it enough to point it out to any media outlet or the NBA, nor has the NBA made any of it public

I seriously doubt nut-punchings occur at any rate higher than once a decade

You ever played a contact sport ? I played basketball & football in HS and in college and yes that stuff happens more than is known. Just because sportscenter did not report it does not mean it does not happen, the reason this was reported is clearly for an edge. Now I really do not care who wins or loses, the one black guy should not have punched the other black guy. Finley was aggressive in his contact but during times like these people lose there rightful thinking.

And your statement about it happening but once a decade is ridiculous, now biting a piece of ear off is another story.
