Did you ever get your time slips. Your grey Buick was launchin hard. Hope the engine is o.k. That is one bad *** street car. You did great and the event was fun. I am sure your 3 minutes of fame will be about 20 seconds when they get through with the bleeps for TV.

Thanks, I had alot of help @ the last minute getting there, BAGN (above) helped out huge, he let me stay late @ his shop and lock up to finish the car. We set the world record in R&R on a head/header repair----chris is now officially the man @ tack welding in my book. I never got a hard copy but have talked to a few that were in the tower, I should be getting it via efax. And yes my short time in the light has now gone, Another day another race..... Again, thanks for the kudos!
Well **** I had free tickets, and snuck in a bunch of beer so it wasn't too bad. Plus we got a bunch of shirts by gettin our girls to show their ******* so all in all it wasn't to bad. also the girl we were with got arrested for indecent exposure

We where there in the little black and silver mustang, it was all good but if we would have known it was a 10. index race we could have killed the N2O and half throttled the thing. It was odd that you run 9.0x's and you don't make the show or even have an index for that. We tried to call out Lindsey and I got to go up to the trailer and speak with Rich,Gavin and the rest of the producers on calling him out since they shafted us on the finals but was told that they had no time to do it. I was told that if we would have done it in that two hour break it would have been done, but I responded that "You guys called 77 to the staging lanes and to sit tight". It was an alright time and the Pinks people did admit to this being chaos and very unorganized but it was the first time they have done anything like this. Well for Oct. we are looking to buy a beater for CHEAP and our engine builder has something up his sleeve for it. We left there and went to Cedar Creek Dragway which is the WORST track ever, anyone giving away free hamburgers since they slaughtered a local cow is also reason to be suspicious, the week before they had free t-bone's. All in all a nice drinking festival and calling out Trevor was fun so we will keep the small pot to race him for next time, we crack his *** at Redline all the time and we just wanted the Pinks people to see that he is not the be all end all.

I left right after they picked the top 16, and mine was not one of them. At least I was one of the TA's not scared and I gave it all I had! I was highly disappointed in the whole program. If you watched the bald guy after both cars launched on each pass, you could tell which ones he was picking. The least they can do is be more honest with us and say, "We are looking for 10-second cars". And a more vigorous inspection needs to be made if that much money is at stake. I think GMHTP or HPP needs to come out there and have their own "Cam-Only/NA F-Body Shootout", or something where all that crap is not rigged. I do not have a super-fast car, but darn-it 11.5s in the 1/4 with a cam and bolt-ons IS pretty darn good! And brackets, hey, that is just what I do! I am pretty sure if they were looking for consistancy, I should have had a shot. I'll stick to the track by my house, where things are never padded.

Cam only records are dumb. You are gonna have a bunch of back halved race cars that wont throw another couple grand on a well built motor.
I agree it sounded dumb. They should have done bracket racing or true heads up with inspection/ registration, running 93 octane, and running DOT tires. That is a true streer car IMO. Of course not back halved, stock glass, at least 2 seats, stock suspension....
