And that my friend, is dyno racing. With that mindset, you might as well strap each car to a dyno, get the hp and weight #s of each, and do the math.
"Racing" greatly involves "driver skill". Running from 80mph and making one shift from 4th to 5th isn't very "skillful".

 

G asked for the 80...not me. I think he wants to keep the car in one peice. i prefer a 3rd gear 50 - 55 to top of 4th for good indication of where the other car is HP wise.

i have been to the track. HRP kicked out for 11.1 @ 140. At SAR when G broke, i ran a 10.8 @ 143 and a 10.3 @ 143 second and third pass ever on this set-up on high boost and ET streets, no nitrous.

i'll be going to TWS this Saturday to make a few laps. and see how well this thing can turn, and haul ***.

Video will be taken of the event if and when it happens.

 

We are going to do more then just an 80 punch lol.

I am curious to see how the car reacts compared to the dynograph.


Like stated before "off line" me and Kareem will also run a dig race at Judgment Day along with a 50 - whatever run on the highway.


People can bash roll racing all they want, but I perfer a low roll over a dig if a car is not setup for it.

You still run though 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th gears.



Yes drag racing is "real" racing, No question about that.


Regardless the 60, 70 or 80 punch we want to do is to see what car is "faster" and how it reacts on the street as opposed to the "dynograph"

Once again man Im just gonna have to disagree, I would rather watch both cars get on the road and run then get together and compare dyno sheets and get on scales, but maybe thats just me. If you think there is no driver skill required running two 1000+rwhp cars even from rolls you are simply incorrect. In fact im willing to bet in 1-3rd gear that car could do donuts at any time if you arent carefull. Since you seem to know this race without having to see it why not prove it, what car is gonna win?

I will agree that a slow roll (1st gear) should be okay, and require skill. Running from 80+ is just stupid, but since it was a joke I suppose you got me.

I know Komar can drive his car. the 10.3 @ 14x mph proved that one to me, esp not even using nitrous!

 

I'm still trying to figure out what this has to do with anything.

 

Most drivers cant get a GT that fast without lots of mods, 12.8 is a good time for a GT. He was simply giving an example of how much difference a driver can make. I like roll racing if you just want to compare two cars. For grudge races and races i care about i wanna go from a dig. Anyone can push the gas down and bang gears. Launching is the hard part.
