Default What would you do?

Well last night my team won our first game this season, but the win was short lived. i left the locker room and saw a crowd of people around my car. i was like ok wtf? so walk up and my bumper is dented in, broke taillight and the fiber glass piece that has the word camaro on it is broke (just put all new chrom one it too). so by this time im kinda pissed, but not worried who ever hit me insurance would cover it...well turns out its our kicker (from mexico doesnt speak english) and if i call the cops he goes to jail (no license insurance nothing ) coach wont let me call the cops...i cant afford to fix this, and insurance wont pay if the cops arent called...what should i do?

Well for all those who read this earlier i got good news...my insurance is gonna cover the damage (a little over $1k worth) and our kicker is going to pay my deductable. which i means im off the hook and wont have to beat any ones ***, well at least not our kickers any way.

if the coach wont "let" you call the cops then he should pay for it all to be fixed. other then that call the cops, some freaking teacker cant dictate your life or what happens to your property unless he is willing to put the cash on the table to get it all fixed.

I'd have beat that ******'s *** right there in the parking lot when I was your age. I'd also tell the coach to fork over the dough if he doesn't want you to call the cops for insurance. It could have been reported as a hit-and-run anyways.

You calling the cops/reporting the incident and getting your car fixed is your problem. Your kicker getting in trouble with the law because he/his family is here illegally is NOT your problem. Your coach needs to pull his head out of his *** and obey the law. If he's recruiting kids from across the border, that's a major infraction of UIL rules. There was a baseball coach that did that recently and got his *** suspended for five years from coaching sports.

Call the cops and get your car fixed. Unless the coach is offering to pay for the damages, it has nothing to do with him.

Funny story time, semi-related.

Back in HS (grad '91), my football coach also coached the normal P.E. classes. Some chump kept slapping my '69 camaro to make the alarm go off while they were waiting for the bell to change classes. He did this two days in a row, and the coach saw him do it the 2nd day.

Coach came and found me during the next class, asked for permission to the teacher to let me step out for a few minutes. Then we went and found this punk (stoner douchebag) in his class, and had him come in the hall for a few minutes.

Then I picked the kid up against the wall and dared him to touch my car again. I then told him that he was now in charge of protecting it, and that if anything happened to it, it was his ***.

needless to say, nobody ever messed with the shiny red 69 in the parking lot during PE.

I'm with Tony. Your ******* ***** *** coach should have his *** kicked for putting you in that spot anyway. I'd be happy to do it for you. Gdamn, I hate TX HS football coaches (as a general rule through my experiences...can also be extended to college coaches).

I threatened to put one of my coaches through a wall...but I grew up in a small town too and went to play for Texas, so I got away with it. ****, I didn't even get tickets for racing, drunk driving, etc. (cops bought us liquor). But, they used up one of my knees pretty damn good, and it's no fun anymore. They didn't give a ****, but because of our record during the 3 years I played (not just me, but a big part), they all got 4 and 5A jobs from our little 3A school. Coach is only out for his sorry ***, but that doesn't make it any easier for you, cause you gotta live with the ******* for a while. OK, crazy *** rant over.

Good news is, in a couple years, coach won't matter, and neither will any of this.

Hang in there.

Tony, that's crazy. My school was so small, nobody dared mess with my Formula. It's funny how the coaches want to "protect" you when you play for them. Even crazier is I'm a '91 grad too, and we bought sister Vettes.

Kharma and ****!

F*ck both of them (coach and kicker) in the ***, then call the cops for a police report, and finally turn it in to the insurance company.

thanks for all the feed back guys, haha and the random stories. any way im going tomorow see the insurance agent, but after talking to some people around here im pretty sure they are going to cover it. As for my new emblems and such the i bought from dragonZ the kicker is going to pay for it. so things are looking better, just hope the insurance comes through...back to Nine ***** story, no one has ever messed with my car before this has happend, casue they know it would end badly. haha the cheerleaders still call and make sure its ok if they shoe polish it on game days

i would not have hesitated to call the cops. people need to be held accountable for their actions. like someone else said, if the coach is so concerned, then maybe HE should pay out of his pocket!!! justice is justice.

how did you find out it was the kicker? did he confess or did someone that saw it have to tell you? if the kid confessed, then i'd be a little kind and work with him on paying to get it fixed. if someone else had to rat his *** out, i would go out of my way to **** him over, cuz he just tried to **** you over.

i walked up to him (very aggressivley) and he told me what happend (as best i could understand his english) so i kept my kool and have tried to be a nice guy about the whole thing, but when it comes down to getting my car fixed...im gonna do what it takes. ill feel bad for the guy because im pretty sure my insurance is gonna have to file charges to fix it but if thats what its gonna take then f it

I would attempt to get the kicker to pay, and if he does not pay I would go for the coach.

I would also go take pics of both vehicles to prove that he hit your car, incase they try and pull any sly **** on you.

If neither of them want to pay, take it up with the p0-p0s, but you are allready at a disadvantage b/c you did not call them in the first place.
