They have the pieces to be good at some of the talent postions, mainly receivers with Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds, but the line sucks and David Carr is a 2nd rate QB that was overhyped coming out of Fresno State.
Nothing about the Texans is above par except their stadium.

Our receivers are good (as you said). I'd say our QB is above average. Sure, he is no Peyton Manning, but he is perfectly capable of getting the job done. And thats one of the reasons I dont like David Carr. The remarks he made when they drafted him about beating the Cowboys.
The only thing I can agree with you on though is the receivers being good. I think Carr is average at best, and I think thats going on a limb.
Either way, the only Texans game I care to watch comes on October 15th, and its going to be nice.
They suck, but I'm still a fan. Gotta love them when they suck, not just when they are winning. We don't need to be bandwagon fans like the Cowboys have.
