Default My 427 SS vs SOM Z28

This was last week, I was driving to work in my daily driver T/A. And two days in a row I came across this SOM Z28 with full exhaust and a healthy cam. Thats about all I can guess on mods.

So anyways he always tries to get some action from me in my slow T/A.
3rd day I said **** it, and broke out my SS and hope to run into him again on the way to work. I sure did!

He bucked up with a blip of the throttle, wanting to go, even though there was cars RIGHT in front of us??? I was like WTF??? Come on!!!
So I slow him down from 50mph - 20mph and let the cars ahead get away from us.

I blipped the throttle a few times and he did, I gave a good tap and he went. I gave him about 1 car and the move. I stayed in 2nd gear (less spin then 1st) and reel him back fast and got out 2-3 on him in 2nd gear then came back up on traffic.

I slowed down and rolled the windows down and wanted ask him if I should have been in my other car .......SOM T/A??? lol
But after that little run he never got back up next to me. I guess he was mad or sad I don't know.

Peace,
Craig.

Man, you're mean.

And for the sake of all us guys that are putting down less power than your T/A, could you refer to that car as slowER as opposed to slow?

Something's not right with yours. What's the altitude there? Did you have the car tuned? If so, have someone else look at the tune. With your mods, you should be putting down around 360 assuming your at a low altitude.

360rwhp from a lid and full exhaust? I very much doubt that. I only have a lid and catback, put down 300rwhp and 315rwtq on a Mustang dyno. So I think he is about right.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it man!

I have been taking the T/A to work again (daily driver), but have not seen him since the day I was in my SS.

SSmokin99 - I have a few vids, most when I was heads/cam. But none uploaded. I'll try to get some uploaded here.

Ok Chad, I'll try to be "PC" here. "My slower of the two cars...." Better? lol

Thanks again guys,
Craig.

My friend had an ls6 intake, full exhaust, lid, and a large cam and put down 370-something rwhp on a Mustang dyno. What type of dyno did you use?

Nice one Craig. I'd have no problems losing to a badass car like your SS. That thing
is awesome. 550rwhp N/A is a monster.

The comment was to phil8616, if you have that and headers. 360whp isn't out of the ordinary.

Was referring to you.

If I was referring to Craig's, I would of replied to his or an empty reply.

Full exhaust and lid is more like ~345rwhp, 360rwhp would be considered a little on the high side...

Ya I was thinking around 335 for an A4...I know the M6s put out a few more horses on the dyno, but id be happy with 345rwhp any day with my mods...maybe when I get an LS6 intake and port/polish my tb ill see a few more (damn college kid budget)

It was on a Dynojet, but I'm still claiming it
