I was in the situation where the same DPS Trooper was working my area of the county and he gave me three warnings for No front LP. I went ahead and put it on for now.

I now drive my truck for a DD and only drive the Z about twice a week. I have plans for an SLP grill and when I get that.. the plate will be hung on the wall in the garage.

Plus, I've gotten to know that Trooper preety good now and I don't think he would give me a ticket for that......
....... BUT.....

YOU NEVER KNOW!!!!

Happy Halloween

on the c5 you can put it on and then put the cover over it with velcro. then if you are stoped say "thanks officer, I put the cover over it for the car show and forgot about it" take the cover off and show him you have it then drive down the road and put the cover back on next chance you get.

Seems like that could possibly raise more suspension...trying to cover your license plate and all.

Most of those little tricks work fine here...for the first few times...but in a town this small and an average citizen age of 65, they keep pretty close tabs on the 'sports' cars around here. In my old car I got pulled over for no front plate, the officer said he noticed it was off a month before, but blew it off that time...second time he noticed he pulled me over. So, the whole 'I just had to take it off for the day to buff the paint behind it' story wouldn't of worked that well.
