Seriously, go drive a 100% stock f-body and you will see they are actually nice cars when they aren't molested. Most of us have probably forgotten what they were like. Slow and quiet for sure, but they are nice cars before we ruin them.

those old texan ppl might shoot me. if i said that to them. they were driving old trucks/caddy/suburbans; you never know whatz in that car.
yes, but exhaust is one of the easiest ways to "ruin" a car. Any ticks or leaks from headers and Y-pipes, or too loud, etc... will turn off the majority of buyers.
Someone else offered good advice, get someone that doesn't really drive cars like this to test drive your car. They will point out everything they dislike about it, just tell them to be brutally honest about it. They can't be a car enthusiast though, find a really average and boring dude/girl to do this for you

It definitely a pita when "buyers" come look at the car and then nitpick things. At the same time, I try and accurately describe it all before they show up. I personally love the buyers that just make up stuff. But I expect that. I will have an asking price and then set the price I want a few hundred less.
Sellers do the same thing though, I went to look at a 96 Z71 that was supposed to be in excellent condition. I get there and the a/c doesn't work, the power seat is stuck, the front tires are destroyed because the truck needs 1500 worth of front suspension work, and the ABS system light is on. Because he wasted my time, I offered him half of his asking price.

I think those same people tried to buy my car. I had people who hadn't even seen it telling me to sell it to them RIGHT NOW for 3 or 4k less than blue book because it was modded. Its usually just some cheap tire kicking bastards that want to jab you around and try to scew you out of a good deal.

wanna buy it?? ill give you a discount.
i went through all that when i sold my mustang, "this is bad" or "that is bad" i told a lot of people they couldnt test drive it because i wasnt giving out free rides. some left but i dont care i had it for sale for two weeks, and got what i was asking and in cash.
jsut give it time the right guy will come along, or ask for a depsit for a drive.
dont let it get you down tho. people always do stuff like this jsut trying to get a better deal.

Don't let the ******* drive it wo you. I tried selling my motorcycle this summer. A ****** kid should have known better came to look at it. First time out he drove it and was back shortly. Went to talk to bank and then someone called me at work from the bank said they needed to look at it before they would approve the loan cool. It's a small town no biggie ******* lays it over ****** around destroys the valve cover, engine guard, rt exh pipe and foot peg brings it back says he's not sure and his side hurts and he mysteriously picked up a friend along the way. asks if I have insurance on it. Tell him nope and get the **** out of our shop before I shove a shotgun down his throat and blow his guts out his ***. If they want to drive it get a deposit or something you can hold over their head i court. This case I was just fucked and had to fix it out of pocket. Poor shadow didn't stand a chance. Good luck but this is the majority of stuff we deal with when we sell our pride and joy.
It's amazing the kind of people you come in contact with when you are trying to sell a car. Last car I was trying to sell, I had people ask if they could take the car and make payments to me! Offered me 1/2 price b/c one tire was mis matched, and hit me with the "dude your car has been up for 3 months now, your never going to sell at that price", when in fact I had put it on autotrader 2 days before I got that message
I'd personally, try and answer as many questions they have about it before they even come see the car. Any smart/serious buyer will have a full list of questions. Then let them come look at it, sit in it, etc. You can take them for a spin in it if they wanna see how it drives. Wait till you know they are for sure serious before you let any dipshit drive the car.
If they say, there are other cars for way lower, just tell them to go buy one of the others. You need to find someone that is interested in buying a Perf. Fbody, not just a quick car for the right price. Someone who truely appreciates what you've done to the car, etc.

is there any way to fix all the rattling inside the car? my car is like a freaking marching band. one thing starts rattling and all the other parts joing in. and it also buzzes sometimes WTF!!! im guessing the only way to fix it is to get a new interrior? dont get me wrong, i know its just a camaro. so i expect some rattling. but my car seriously goes over board.
I agree that the cars are nice before molested. I used to think my car (bought it modded) was as good as it gets (i bought the car for a daily driver). After driving my friends 12k mile bone stock 01 SS i was hooked. His car was perfect. No rattles, knocks, bangs nothing. Just like if i went back in time and picked up a new one. I'm picking up alot of stock stuff from a friend of mine later this week and i might demod the car slightly. Not alot but maybe some.
