Angry WOW.. just wow....

k, ive been tryin to sell my car and had 4 people stopped by and asked for test drive. after quick test drive around my neighborhood they all ****** COMPLAINEED about my car.

ALL 4 people think that im a dumbass who doesnt know **** about ls1. plus they all told me same ole ****. "I used to have this and that..." "i built this supercharged/nitroused mustang/camero blah blah blah and ran 8 sec 1/4mile blah balh balh" all same result with "i blew the engine/transmission blah blah." one ****** also told me that he raced for pinks and beat a ferrari

well this is what they all said about my car..

"your clutch is slipping also tranny is too notchy"

"you car smells like gas. there is a leak somewhere in the engine. you need to fix that before sell it. itz dangerous and i offer you $15000 NOW."

"your car runs sluggish for V8. you need retune. (he meant plugs/wires) "

"they told me itz illegal to drive this car on street so i offer you $14000 since i cant drive it back home. i have to tow it."

"car makes lot of noise. we have to take apart the engine and look for damage. must be old lifters and bented push rods also your rearned is about to go out"

"your car needs new paint job" cuz my front/rear bumper has scratch and rock chips and one scratche on 1/4 panel??

this ONE ****** wanted to take it to the dealership and find out what is all wrong with my car and he doubt that itz a real firehawk.

ARE THESE PEOPLE SERIOUS?~?!?!?!?!? just cuz im asian, do you think that im a dumbass who doesnt know anything about ls1??? ******* rediculous..

of course i told them to **** off and went back into my house.

they are ignoramouses that are trying to lower the price with poor tactics.

let me guess, you are a little younger? i get the same ****... i always get the old guys coming up to me telling me how torquey their old 327s were, and how they blew the doors off these new cars, and they just dont build em like they used to. ya, okay buddy..

the best is when they say, "ya i put a carb on 'er, nothing could touch it"

you should have said, I don't feel it. Let me drive it real quick,
Jumped on it, and slammed the breaks, so they would hit the dash. and say well the brakes work, and the tires grab good.

Tell them you're not lowering the price, but you'd be glad to have something fixed and sell it for MORE.

I had a guy show up in a wife beater, boxer shorts, and laceup-ropers (that weren't laced up) to test drive my blazer when trying to sell it. Told me his house burned down a few hours before and he didn't have any clothes.

I just went through the same crap selling my SS. I hate selling cars every stupid person comes up and tells you how crappy your car is then tries to get you to sell it to them for half what you are asking.

Serously though, it IS common practice to identify problems with a car and make an offer for the car based on how much you estimate the repair will cost.

To me, if EVERYONE said these things after a test drive, you might want to take it to someone who doesn't ride in the car regularly and see what they think. Some things you just "tune out" after driving a car for awhile.

i know that my car runs good/flawless for what it is. i know it has small cam, also know that itz old h/c setup but i seriously do think that itz a stout car; that can be dailly driven without ANY problems. i jst dont appreciate ppl telling me my car has problems when tranny/rearend/clutch is almost brand spanking new. plugs/wires has been changed and there is no idle problem and brakes work flawlessly. i mean i drive it daily and it can take HUTTOS abuse??. what more could you ask for?? and YES it is REAL FIREHAWK` ive must said that almost 100 times to all buyers.

This car is FLAWLESS mechanically.

People have to understand, aftermarket parts, wont operate or sound like stock. Its just idiots looking at cars that have no idea what they want or are looking at.

David, Ive told you, you have to find the right buyer. One that knows what hes getting into and one that knows these cars like the back of his hand and knows what to expect of them. They are no Cadillacs and therefore should not be quantified as one by a potential buyor.

These cars are very nice driving cars until we ruin them. Once you slap a cam and exhaust, stiffer suspension joints, stiffer clutch, etc... onto them, 95% of normal car buyers will be turned off to the car. They now ride like ****, rattle, are too loud, make engine ticking noises, grabby clutch, etc... and most people see that as something "wrong" with the car.

Seriously, go drive a 100% stock f-body and you will see they are actually nice cars when they aren't molested. Most of us have probably forgotten what they were like. Slow and quiet for sure, but they are nice cars before we ruin them.
