This may be too good to be true, but for where I live, HRP is an hour and a half one way, where LRP is an hour and a half the other way. HMP is only about 40 minutes away - does anyone know if they will ever make it a 1/4 mile track, or if they have plans to do so?

 

Probably not, because as you can see, there wouldn't be enough real estate for a shut down:

Unless they started from the other end and came back. I'm not sure if they own that land south of them, probably not.

 

Doubt it, but why would they want to? There the only 1/8 mile track left in Houston.

I guess they COULD set up a ramp there at the end so you had to jump over North Lake Houston Pkwy.

That would definitely make it more interesting. LOL

 

That typically means you are just too slow. Seriously. The launches are the most fun part of drag racing anyways, I even have fun in 11-second 1/4 cars at the short track if they launch hard.

HMP is land-locked by a drainage ditch on the backside and a road on the front side, I don't see a 1/4-mile ever happening there.

 

And agree. My favorite is the launch. By the time you've reached the 660', you've already shifted through all the gears and the fun part is over.

HRP does hook better than HMP though.

Aint that the truth!!! The best part is the launch, and the 1st 1/8th mile of the track

 

yep. Anything past the 1/8-mile marker is just like a regular day on the freeway for me anyways.

I meant going over 130+ is just a short blast for me on the freeway.

When I get my black 98 Formula done, we can line them up at the track Tiago. You should have about 300 rwhp more than me, so I'll have to drive my *** off.
