Default Pics of the '06 Duramax w/the new tires!

I finally sold the 305/55/20 (33") tires and swapped to the 325/60/20 (35") Nitto Terra Grapplers. I should of done this from the beginning, but I didn't think they would fit. Not only does it look better, fills in the fender gap, but has a much better ride which was very surprising to me. Anyhow, just thought I'd share some pics. I snapped them right after I cleaned her.

IMO, that's not filling the wheel wells...the tires would never fit inside the wheel wells, LOL. Truck looks nice if you like the lifted look. I was expecting a stock ride height before the photos came up.

I only have 5 inches of lift in the front and 3 in the back. I plan on going 1 more inch in the rear so that it sits a little higher. Its not that much more than stock . I couldn't stand the bullshit rims/tires they put on these trucks from the factory. 16x8 with 245/75/16 doesn't cut it for me. I even considered 22" wheels, but now with the new tires, I don't think I'll do it because going from the 33s to the 35s really improved the ride.

Nope, you're wrong. Not loud at all which is really surprising. I run the Nitto Terra Grapplers. They're an all-terrain. They make very little noise at higher speeds, but that's about it.

we get people all the time come and switch them out because they are so loud

but now that i think about it, it might be the extreme terrains that people come swap out

Thanks for the compliments.

This is my 2nd set of Nitto Terra Grapplers. They have great traction in the rain, good tread wear, and quiet. They're not loud at all. The only time you can hear them is around 80mph and its very minimal. Great tire.

Looks great Jeramy. I would like to run slightly taller Nittos too, but I only have a 1/2" clearance between my roof and the parking garage at work right now. Scary stuff for passengers that ride in it the first time

And you are correct, the Terra-Grapplers are pretty quiet on the road. I'm on my 3rd set too, they are excellent tires and wear slowly.

looks pretty good, just not a fan of those tires at all or those rims. i had terragrapplers on our 04 crew cab 2500HD 4x4 for 25k miles and the tread is almost completely gone and we have only towed a trailer a few times. everyone that i have talked to that has had them, including people at different discount tires and every1 bitches about the minimal life of them. id suggest selling them and getting a cooper discoverer ATR or equivalent if they go that big. what lift did you go with?
