Default Remove the coating off your license plates, may save you a ticket!!

The devices work by sending out a beam of infra red light. Ideally this should be targeted at the number plate of a car, because number plates have a special reflective coating which bounces the beam straight back to the machine.

they also make a clear coat type spray that does the same thing, just less work.

i bought the spray and the "phantom plate" the phamtom plate looks like thoose old baseball cards that when you turn it one way is a different picture then when you turn it the other way. I drive through the airport a lot and they capture your license plate so I doubt i'm gonna be able to use it so I bought the spray just haven't put it on yet. if you buy it get it from ebay its cheaper then the website.

You dont have to block all the nuumbers..just one..the computer cant go thur and ramndomly insert numbers/letter till is come up with a match for the car

spray...... sure i trust that as much as buffing the darn coating off!

I was just responding to the phantom.com post. The spray, and license plate cover will glare out pics at stop lights or those emission testers on the side of the road. You don't have to belive me.....put the stuff on and take a picture of your plate and see for yourself.
