when you say 'classes', do you mean it would be bracket racing?

my car is slow, but i'm still down for it. i prefer 1/4mi

 

I'll be running 6's in the 1/8. But I'm a bracket racer; if there are classes this might work.

 

Going to be all heads up class's I think & maybe on Bracket class. This is just a thread to see if there is any intrest in doing LS1 VS Mustang Shootout.

Looks like there is alot of Intrest. I am going to team up with the guys over on DFWStangs & see what I can get set up. I was thinking late summer for this.

 

Well for now I'd say I'm in but who knows what will happen before then, by the end of summer I may have blown it up by then.

I'd say see how many will actually go and match them fastest to slowest like 25 vs 25 or 50 vs 50 just depending? get some kind of commitment from at least 25 cars on each side and if more show up then just line em' up! or so how the old Buick vs Ford shootout was set up?

 

Question is we need to break it in to class's & have at least 25 cars from each side commited to this.

I was thinking something like a Fast Ford rule setup

Factory Stock (BOLT ONS ONLY) No cam or Heads or Intake's
Pure Street Cam & heads & bolt ons (NO POWER ADDER)
ALL OUT CLASS ( No Rules, Run what you brung
Street Radial Class ( No rules) Street tires only.

Any suggestions? Open to idea's

 

You'd almost have to do it like the old Buick vs Ford events...run what you brung and only allow a max tire of 28x10.

 

I would like to see a All Out, No rules, race what you brung.

My Mustang runs 6.8's on motor...haven't sprayed it yet.

I'm game...when and where? If it's after 2 weeks from now (which I'm sure it would be), my setup will be up and running (hopefully...).

 

another LS1 steppein' it up! the Dfwstang guys said the LS1 camp would not nut up(basically) and that a showdown will not ever happen(they claim it's been tried for years?) so it looks like it's going to get real crazy up in this piece here shortly!

 

and no ET's for YET? but even if I did I will not post them on here! there are way too many DFWstang's spies and double agants on here!
