There is some intrest from some of the guys over at DFWStangs on wanting to do a Mustang VS LS1 Shootout. I said I would put a thread up & see if there is any intrest?

DFWStangs has some low 5 sec 1/8 mile cars & we would do Class's.

Who all would be interested in doing this?

the LS1 camp is for sure going to need you for those viscious turbo stangs! Manny from HPP and his 8.0 car,Andrew and his turbo beast and then there is WTS another big turbo'd stroked 351W car will all be your competition! other then that it should be a great match up! I'm in!!!!

 

Doesn't appear that many LS1's are wanting to step up & take the challange.

dfw area LS1 people need to step up! after years of supposedly talkin' smack the stang guy's say the LS1 camp has more excuses then *******'s to step up and actually race! that the LS1 camp is all talk and no show!

well considering it's not a chevy vs ford event it's a LS1(any car with a LS1 motor in it) vs stang(any ford motor) you have to be on the LS1 side since thats what the whole debate is usually about!

That would kick @$$. Hopefully I'll be over there when this happens. I'm sure theres some fast LS1's in the area that can stay up with those guys.

 

Where's it gonna' be? I'm not big on 1/8th mile as she's just starting to breath at that point. Also, we need some clarification as to who can run. Are you looking for anyone who feels like racing some mustang or do you want the fastest LS1s in DFW? I'm definitely not one of those, but sure like kicking the crap out of some mustangs.

I should be able to do this. I don't know which car I will bring though.

 

I will come out for the nearly stock class (with a tire). I always enjoy dishing it out to mustangs.

edit: keep it 1/8th mile, my 4th doesnt like to "race" anymore and I don't know when its getting fixed. but for 1/8th mile I am down 100%
