Dude...why? What was going through your head when you typed this out? Why insult me?...what is the point you are trying to make by saying this?

My car is not expensive...I spent less than $5k total and my car is very fast on the street. Compare it too the following and I think I may be conservative on some of the numbers...

Cam, valvetrain, supporting mods = $750
Set of heads - $1500 (if you're lucky)
FAST LSX Intake, TB, Lid, LT Headers, ORY-Pipe - $1750
Cat-back exhaust - $250
Injectors - $350
Fuel pump - $100
AEM Wideband - $250
Gauge pod - $50
Dyno Tune - $400
Moser 12 bolt - $2000
11" Rims in the back - $250
315 MT Streets - $250
Chassis & Suspension mods - $1000
Clutch - $500

Grand Total - $9,000+
Time to install - FOREVER
Gas Mileage -

What kind of numbers are you going to see from this...I'll be liberal here...

Cam - 45rwhp
Heads - 65rwhp
LTs & Catback - 30rwhp
Intake, TB, Lid - 30rwhp
Tune - 10rwhp

Grand Total - 180rwhp gain

Congrats, you now have a 500rwhp car that will tear the strip up and get you 15mpg on the highway when you're not standing on it!

I dunno who told you a head cam car gets 15MPG ont he highway but you are way off. Try 22+ on a 232/236 112 cam.

you were doing very well in this thread defending your own judgement on why you chose the STS kit, but you've now lost all hope. LMAO

if you think those are valid estimates then you've got some serious homework to do.

Who freaking cares guys...common. I was simply trying to make the point that you can spend a lot of money on any setup and you yield similar results in the end. I don't care who drives what and how much they spent. All I care about is are you happy with your car & the decisions you've made. If you are, that's awesome...great for you. If you're not, put a little more effort into it and get it to where you want to be...simple as that.

I doubt your cam got you 45rwhp then if you're making 22mpg.

If i put a different cam in my car, would that make everyone happy?? Freaking A...there is no satisfying you guys. I'm voting for , this is ridiculous.

I looked into a DD H/C setup for myself before I purchased the STS. It was not going to yield the numbers I wanted in the budget I had.

+1. Those gauge pods are more like $60.

And you have no real clue on how to build a good running streetable engine then either. You just think big cam = unstreetable and bad gas mileage without understanding what a well speced out and built engine can do. Ignorance is bliss. You are now coming off like the ignoramous that everyone else says you are. Just becasue YOU cant get a setup that is efficient and built to perform does not mean that everyone else cant. Keep your ignorance to yourself.

Oh and BTW where did you get 45 HP from a cam at?? Last time I checked the MS4 was like 80 Hp over stock in a cam only LS1.

No, it doesn't sting actually. I didn't spend money to build a track car, I spent money for a car that does well as a DD. Is everyone but me retarded on this thread?

If you wanted a DD maybe you should have just left it stock.

My HC car drives like stock with the exception of the idle. I keep my foot out of it and it feels like my old stock engine just about, go over half throttle and it wakes up screaming.
