I was wondering if ya'll can help me out and make a list of the true Syn Oils. Mobil 1 Syn is a blend and so are some others. WHICH ONES ARE THE REAL DEAL?

Amsoil/Redline/Royal Purple/GC Castrol/LUCAS
GC Castrol is now labeled as "European Formula" and the oil itself is Gold in color.
Got tired of spending outrageous amounts so i got Castol GTX this time, I change my oil VERY frequently so getting synthetic doesnt matter. Plus Gforce uses nothing but GTX on their Drag only cars and thats what was recommended to me by them.

Mobil 1 goes in my new 2007 Acura and in my 2002 LS1,
Regular Valvoline in my 2002 Honda and Valvoline Racing in my 79 Camaro's 383.
If you are thinking Royal Purple I am not a fan,
when I worked in the industry I saw many sales pitches, and demonstrations and they could never reconcile for me how their claim to "polished cylinder walls" was not abrasive. I always said polishing removes material, even if its a minute amount, they always talked about their cylinder walls and oiling chambers coming out polished after using their product.

I will still change it about every 2,500miles, but I just want the extra safty, and I don't drive the camaro very often any more.

+1 with GTX also. when i had a 2000 z28 thats the only oil i used. i had no issues with it what so ever. so thats why i pretty much stick with castrol.

The way to go............dont use reg GTX, yea ts good if your not gonna be hard on your car but if your gonna race it go with:
Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec (Best cheap synthetic oils)
Royal Purple (if you dont care about price and want HP gain with your oil change)
This the only way I went, and will go, and will recommend. I always use Castrol Syntec and never had a problem out of it and never blown an engine. If I was to go to the next level Id only use Royal Purple. Out of all the products they make for radiator, tranny, rear, oil, powersteering, etc. I seen an LS1 car, stock, they changed all oils etc to Royal Purple and it gained 25-30 RWHP. No lie, seen it.

You should use that stuff that just says oil on the outside of the bottle...it's only like $0.99 a quart!
J/K...I use Mobil 1 full synthetic. Been using it for years now in a variety of high-performance cars. Engines run good, oil lasts an easy 5-6k miles before I even think of changing it. $30 at Costco for 6 quarts.
I've also heard not to run anything but synthetic in turbos...
