best SBC head for $1000?

Default best SBC head for $1000?
I was going to get some used vortecs for my 383 project but it didnt work out and I was wondering what the best heads I can get for under 1k? Right now im looking at the Brodix IK 200 pkg from Jegs for $1069.99

I'd personally would go with DART. I don't know what they go for now a days.

If they are those would be a good choice. If you plan on spraying the car stay away from vortec's, to thin of casting they will crack!

Thats what I was gonna say. Those platinums are the results of their latest R&D in Wet Flow technology. I don't know anyone who has tried them yet, but some magazine tested em out and they picked up over the older Iron eagles.

Do they run better than the Brodix's I mentioned earlier?
On a side note does any one know the exact pronunciation of ''brodix'' I say it ''bra-dicks'' but I dont know if it is right.
