Yeah, a coworker of mine has an 07 Z71, already has over 10k on it in just 2 months, the interior is a major step from previous years and the quality is amazing too. I cant wait until the dealers get more of the HDs...most of the ones that get to the lots are taken in a matter of minutes.

Doesn't the Texas Edition Tundra have the smaller motor and shorter gear? I drove both the 4.8 and the 5.7 (both 2wd). I wasn't all that impressed with them. I stuck with my 05 Silverado Crew Cab.

Ok i drove a new texas edition chevy and it was nice but still 30k. texas edition tundra was only 2k more. So for 2k you get a way more powerful engine, way better brakes, and ore room. Not bad if you ask me. If th chevy really was 10k less ide be all over it

Gotcha, I drove some kind of "editon" that was the smaller motor, bigger wheels, and there was a drastic difference in performance. I just wasn't as comfortable driving them as I am my cheby.

The Tundras are selling for about $500 over invoice though. Give Jason at Joe Myer a call. He's the guy that told me about that. Ron Carter was going to do $1000 over.

*edit* Screw it man. Get one of these...

The Chevy has a lot more wiggle room on the price than that Toyota. The Tundra may only “read” $2k more, but I’d bet your drive-out difference will be much higher than $2k. Did you forget the Vortec Max has over 360hp and a huge aftermarket?

No it was in reference to gm's six speed but the toyota may have teething problems too. That first year or two is the teller of the tale. I remember in 94' when everyone was going nuts about the new bad *** 6.5 t diesels and we all see what a piece they were.
