Just drove a 07 Tundra Texas Edition!
And this thing is badass. Brakes are sick, truck hauls *** and gets decent fuel ratings. I was very impressed with the ride. Ive never been so impressed with a full size truck. Very spacious also. Tomorrow Im going to drive a new chevy texas edition. I know they are alittle cheaper though. What are yalls opinions

My boss has one that has this weird vibration when going under 5mph, Toyota can't fix it. Everytime he brings it in the replace u joints but it never gets fixed. But it is pretty quick and has dubs, lol.

word in the street is that alot of toyota's are going back to service?? if you really want one you should wait atleast a year, let them tweak out all them bugs then they'll have them running good...
on the other hand I would go with a chevy, the new 07's are really nice and if you want some power to them, well you know what to do with them... just so you know gm has there tune real cut back on trucks for some odd reason, just a tune will really wake them up...

I'll stick with my Chevy. Just because the numbers look good doesn't mean that Toy has actually built a reliable heavy duty truck. Time will tell and it's not worth the risk to me to pay the ridiculous price they are asking and the options for mods are and probably always will be much more limited. The only real downfall in the GM trucks currently is the transmission, but that should be remidied with the introduction of the 6 speed in the next year or two.

My '99 GMC Sierra has been one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. With 103k miles on the clock the only thing I've had to replace where the rear rotors because the emergency brake pad prematurely wore down the rotors. Other than that, I've done nothing to it. I can say the same for just about every other GM car I've had. I've had nothing but trouble with anything that wasn't GM..

I sat in a fully loaded new Tundra a few weeks ago. I was impressed and it was definitely a nicer truck inside than my fully loaded Dodge, but my Dodge was $28k driveout. I can't remember the price of the Tundra, but I know it was really high. For the money, I'd rather have a nicely equipped 4x4 diesel truck.

Give the yotas a year or so never jump on the brand new band wagon they still have bugs. I've had excellent service out of my truck it eats a fuel pump every 100K on the dot and it's had three of them so far. But, I can count a whole bunch of gm vehicles we have changed multiple pumps on. They have lost a lot of customers due to unreliable 3-500 fuel pumps. Can't complain though and it's paid for. The yota is a damm nice truck though I just went to test drive one this last weekend so I could get the new car smell on me for a few minutes and then leave wo payments. It rode drove and stopped nice. I prefer the look's of the new gmc over the chevy and the yota though. Either would make an excellent trucks even the chevy's are too new to tell what problems they will have. you mark my work though the new six speed tranny's will take a while to get the bugs out of them. When the 4l60e came out in 93 they had some pretty hefty teething problems.

Im waiting until the A6 tranny arrives in the new Chevy/GMC 1500s, from what I hear they didnt have enough?? Anyway, the Tundra has some good innovative features and a strong engine, but the styling (looks almost like a Camry on steroids) and already apparent problems wont get me near them anytime soon. I liked that article from Fullsize Chevy though haha.

Go with the GMC. The interior is a lot more comfortable than the previous years and the gas milage isn't too bad (17-18 hwy). It runs alot better than I expected and will pull a full weight f-body like it isn't even back there. I bought a NBS 07 crew cab with the 6.0 about two months ago and have loved every minute. Now if I could just figure out how to tune it.
