As someone who knows him and has bought from him, I can say Jake is a stand up guy. I know that he just paid that camaro off, which is why he had to get the lien release and everything. I'm sure that he was expecting to get it all taken care of sooner than this. It sounds like a crappy situation for those who did not trust him, but I know he wasn't out to screw anyone over. He has always been a great seller.

 

i am saying he isn't a trust worthy guy. when i met him i thought he was awesome guy, real nice too. I don't doubt he selling abilities HOWEVER HE LIED!!! LIAR!!!! He didn't have to "hide" anything or lie to hotrod 68camaro or ME!!!

yea, i had the same experience with him, everything was going well up to that point. he just didnt handle it how it should have been done, and i am sure anybody else in my situation would have seen it the same way. if he had called me after he called the bank that morning and knew he didnt have it, it probably would have worked out but instead he let me drive up there, and work on the car thinking he had it.

I've never got a title on spot.If you talked to the bank i really don't see the big deal??You act like he was trying to sell you a salvaged title car or something..

That's completely different. If you buy from a dealership that's one thing, but when you buy from an individual you get the title when they get the money. You dont tell someone you have the title in your hands when you don't.
It was an lie, not a mistake, and he knew he was lieing when he said it. What makes you think he wouldn't be lieing about something else when he could have just said the title was in the mail to begin with instead of lieing? Hotrod rented a trailer, brought a rear end, AND pulled a motor under the lie that he had the title in his hand. NOT to mention diriving 4 hours to do it all. NA could have told him he didn't have the title when he got there, but instead he waited until all the work had been finished. That's manipulative.

So who gives a **** you ask? Looks like the answer is most of us.

 

Sounds like he lied & he is a liar...... It is what it is. I feel bad for HotRod68 guy. I would have snapped & ended up out more money for taking it to another level....
