Honor the Soliders... I just read this article on the Chronicle about how they're using recorded bugles for Taps because they don't have enough buglers...personally I think that's cheap, but I guess if there isn't a bugler, what else can they do?
Anyone that knows how to play a bugle can volunteer.

We didnt have any buglers on either of the two bases I was at for the last two years. They used a recorded song over the PA. Still got played twice a day just wasnt the same. It was cool seeing the entire camp coming to a halt and everyone turning towards a flag! 
I've been writing my Congressmen about this since I heard about it years ago. As a trumpet player, I am appalled that the government would rather have someone playing a recording of taps, rather than let a civilian play for them.
I've played at a fireman's funeral once. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but I was glad to do it.

I had funeral detail a ton when I was stationed at Ft. Knox. We went to all surrounding states, plus a few outside those. I can only remember 2 times that the playing of Taps was not a cassette......... and thats because 1 of the families provided the buglers, and the other was a retired 2 star so his was provided by the govt.

i think it is pretty skrewed up when they cant do right for the ones who have gave their lives..im in iraq right now and on mothers day a convoy infont of mine got hit and a couple army guys were killed/ injured...i didnt think much about people dying until i got here..we have gotten hit with an i.e.d., but thank god it hit the rear of my truck and nobody got hurt
