Default Cat Problem

Anyone have any tips for keeping the neighbors cat off my car? Renters moved in across the street and one house down. Their cat climbs all over my cars and leaves scratch marks and fur all over them. And no, I won't shoot the cat

leave a bowl of antifreeze at the end of your driveway.

Talk to your neighbors. Ask them if they would consider making it an indoor cat.

I figure thats probably the best place to start, but I need to verify that their cat is causing the problem. Been in the house for 2 years and never had this problem until they moved in, but since it happens at night, I have never seen the cat on the cars.

My only fear in talking to them is that in the event they refuse to bring the cat inside and then something happens to their cat (Im not the only neighbor complaining about this cat), I am now suspect #1.

buy an airsoft gun, its harmless and will keep them away, (its like a bb gun only shoots plastic bb's instead of metal ones and its slower)

Anti-freeze mixed with tuna should take care of the problem.

I broke my last airsoft gun unloading on a oppossum. Didn't phase him, so I had to upgrade.....

I was hoping there was something I could do that would keep the cat away, not kill it, and not involve me staying up all night long to scare it off....

What if I bought some cat nip and hid in small pieces all around a vacant house thats the opposite direction from mine.......

That's too easy to trace back to you. "Accidentally" spring a leak in your coolant and have it drip a while.

I vote on the antifreeze as well. I freakin hate paw prints on cars. And when you do see them, you cant chase them cause they just scratch up the car while trying to run off.

talk to your neighbors .. if they don't take care of the sitution .. then sen them a bill for fixing the damage..

you can also call animal control, if you see it out loose, and want to be a pain ..

first choice should be talking to the neighbors .. them may be unaware that it is even occurring.

Well to me, if their car is scratching your car.. They're liable. Just a thought. Set up a camera over night.

Seems like the logical next step is staying up one night and catching the actual cat, then talking to the neighbors.

i understand your point with not wanting to stir up **** with the neighbors if you arent 100% sure its their cat. you may want to try a humane animal trap so you can ID the cat. i doubt they are expensive. then you can capture the cat and wait for the neighbors to put 'lost cat' signs up aroudn the neighborhood... then you can collect the reward!

or you can just put antifreeze in the animal trap
