I know i was stupid but i had over $1000 cash in my wallet cause i was supposed to stop by the shop that is building my motor for my car and give them the money. When i paid my entry fee i had on windpants and i put my wallet back in my pocket. Well when i sat down waiting to play my wallet fell out of my pocket . I noticed it was missing when i got up to play but it wasn't on the floor or anywhere around me. It was gone. My "friend", an older guy about 45 years old helped me look for it for about an hour while the tournament was going on and we couldn't find it. The next morning my dad got a phone call saying that the guy helping me look for my "lost" wallet had it the whole time. I only see this guy on Friday nights at this tournament. I don't know whether to confront him about knowing that he won't have the money to pay me back or just get even so he won't know that i have the motive for whatever happens to him or his belongings. I have a feeling that if i do something to him he will go to the cops. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
I would confront him about it but you know the answer already. He probably shot a shell with it gambling or pocketed it. But I would not let it just go if you know for a fact that he was the guy who took it. Accusing someone of theft you better be real sure that they did it cause noone likes to be called a theif or a liar in my opinion. I was around the pool hall for years and had a bunch of shady things happen to me like this. Pool cues get stolen inside the pool hall when I went to the restroom and one of the guys I trusted stole it and sold it to someone on the northside. I loved to gamble and loved to be in the pool hall but no offense most of the guys (not all) would cut you up like a Tyson chicken so quick for $20.00 or $50.00 just made me sick and one reason I hate to go in there anymore. They just have no heart man and will never change. Good luck with the issue.

I know every person in there. They have the tournament once a week and i thought everyone was just in there to have a good time and try to win some money. Its not a big place. He has already been confronted about it last night and he was pretty pissed, but he never denied it. Basically, he is telling me to prove it. So, all in all, i'm out the cash. OH, AND I DO BELIEVE IN KARMA!!! WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND.

Tell him that someone that he trusts rolled over on him, and he's going to have problems if he doesn't make right. Then leave before he can answer and give him the night to think about it. If he still denies it he may not have done it. Obviously he told someone, because someone told you.
