the only negative part of a stall is you will give up about 2-3
miles per gallon in city driving......

this might sound dumb but im still new at this. how exactly does a stall work and does it affect just normal cruising around?thanks

Just normal cruising around you will not even notice much change, it will
just take a little more gas pedal to get the car moving. For a street car I would probably go with a 3200-3600 stall and the only thing that will change
is gas mileage by 2-3 mpg and it will rev higher before moving the car. (not
very noticable). When you punch it, hang on the car will instantly be in the
power band.......

Not necessary unless you beat on it all the time, however a good shift
kit is always a great idea.
