This is my company truck guys I wish it were mine. I just picked it up for another 3 years until they give me a new one. These things run about 115k +/- I'm not quite ready for that kind of move yet. I'm doing a lease purchase through my company. It's my truck (no else will drive it) and it goes home with me but I don't physically own it. I'll post some pics of it though Tuesday evening when I go back otr off of break. I park it at a buddies pad it won't fit and is not allowed in my subdivision.

you do know that when/if peterbuilt ever plugs it in, the warranty will be voided.

Hey bud. The problem with turning these CATs up is that you have to purchase a 'license' from CAT. I know where I was working it was $750 to take a 6NZ to 500HP. Just FYI.

Actually thats not totally correct. The governor is set to the companys desired speed not from the manufactorer. All new trucks come WIDE OPEN, The company sets them according to thier safety stats. This has nothing what so ever to do with the warranty. I done it with my prior Cat which was this one's predecessor and it was traded with the balance of fact warranty.

my point is this, when i said peterbuilt, i meant the dealer, not the manufacturer. if you take your truck in for warranty work, the first thing they will do is plug into the diagnostic port and look at several things, including:
look for footprints of non authorized custom tunning.
total miles/ engine hours and average speed per hour for the total amount of hours.
if they dont like what they see, yes they will void your 400,000 mile warranty, etc.

Yes you would be correct if I was to have any custom or mods done to it outside the dealership, but deleting or raising/lowering a governor is not considered a mod. Most of the settings are done at the company's site and not the dealership. However if I want to add a larger turbo or another mod where I need to plug in the computer then you would be 100% corret thus voiding my warranty.
