Its all in the 60ft. Most stock f-body's 60ft suck, but if they cutt a 1.7 they would run 12.90s too. But I've also seen mach 1 run 12.40s with 1.6 60ft on slicks, but it had gears, cai, and full exhaust not to mention the suspention work. They can be some quick little ******* with gears and suspention. Anyways, I'd be down for this but im camed and boltons

my old mach ran some 12.4's at hrp and all i had was exhaust, cai, and dr's with stock gears.
we had fun with the houston smackdown races and i wish we could get it going again. alot of nice cars and people to race with. I have raced with people on ford sites and this ls1tech race was by far the most fun.

Weight?
Mach 1 curb weight(according to Wika): 3380
My car, less me: 3540
160lbs difference, and my car is a HEAVY TA! Try a Camaro and it all but closes that gap.
Weight a deciding factor here?
Yeah, Ill take my chances .
Dont get me wrong. The Mach 1 was a big achievement for Ford. They finally managed to make 300HP N/A , so props to them, but if a Fbody looses to one something is wrong.

Camaros aren't that much lighter dude... And yes it was a great thing to make 305hp from a 4.6, and it was even better when in 2000 they made 385 (Under rated), but I guess you forgot about that N/A Cobra.
Basically no matter how much you talk your car up or talk the Mach's down they are still a drivers race in the end.
