It's a clean and well maintained vert. I've seen it in person and it's well worth the asking price simply because you don't have to do ANYTHING to it at all. The color combos are original and not seen hardly at all which adds to the rarity of the car.
An excellent original condition 3rd gen vert could easily be worth more than a LS1.

Have seen the car briefly in person. Was pulling out of the car show as he was pulling in, but I can tell you that this seller is very meticulous and works hard to improve every car in his stable. When he sells a car it is always in much better shape than when he acquired it.
If he finds a buyer that specifically wants a third gen convertible, then I think the price is not far-fetched. My understanding is that he also has the original wheels and they come with the car. They need to be restored, which is why he has the other set on the car right now. If someone wanted a third gen convertible that really doesn't need anything, then they might be willing to pay close to that amount. Much easier to find a 4th gen 'vert.

For a car in that great of condition the price is reasonable. I mean look at it, no door dings, or obvious paint problems, the engine bay is cleaner than 90% of the LS1 fbodies are these days, the hood, and doors have perfect gaps, the interior has no stains, hell even the tops of the rear seats arn't faded which shows this car was kept in a garage. All of the normal wear and tear parts have also been replaced which can save you a ton of money. Thats the thing about thirdgens, they can look great but a lot of little things can fail and end up costing you alot.
I'll put it this way, if I didn't already have a LS1 thirdgen I'd seriously consider it.

i think 10k for that car is a very fair price, +1 on the wheels though.
I love third gen camaros, i would prefer a hard top though. I would trade my SS in a second for a mint third gen

Third gens are my hang up, i dont know why, but the prices shooting up like that is pissing me off, it is getting harder to find them for a decent price in good shape, so i am having to find a good unibody and just replace the damaged parts, at this rate i will be sitting on a gold mine!!!
