Default Anyone put in ARP rod bolts?

Anyone around DFW know how to install ARP rod bolts? Or know how much it will cost to install?

Pull the pan off and do them one at a time. Be sure to use a torque wrench and torque them down to the required setting. Roll the engine/crank over to access all the bolts.

Some people will that you shouldn't put in rod bolts without new rods, as the aftermarket rod bolts are thicker than the stock ones, causing the cap to deflect.

You could or could not run into issues. I had no issues with my Katech rod bolts.

Well, any machine shop will say that you need to resize them sometimes, 1 or 2 outta eight anyways.

I put mine in and it's been fine for several trips to nearly 7k and a few thousand miles now. Time will tell but I've been happy so far.

i'm not sure what you mean by thicker...does this mean that the bolts push the cap out farther to make a larger ID on the cap side?

Yes, the actual bolt is thicker. I don't remember off the top of my head, thousandths of an inch maybe, but it makes a difference. Some people have had good luck with it, some don't. I personally did.
