Default New Sierra or the Chevy Avalanche?

Sorry about the last thread. I know, I am retarded. Can't help it. Blame it on my parents.

Anyway, which vehicle would you rather own. I've narrowed it down to 2, but want your opinion and will probably go with what you guys tell me because I'm too damn retarded to make up my own mind...ha ha.

The new GMC Sierra:

Or the new Avalanche:

I drove the 07 Avalanche, Loved it! Dealer did not want to deal, so I bought an 07 Sierra crew. I love my crew cab, but I had to go out and buy a bed cover.

I think the AV is overpriced for what you get. It does have utility to the bed, so if you need to haul something long, just drop the gate. I wonder though, how well does all that plastic really hold up.

My Sierra was well priced for what I got, and I got a few thousand off the sticker. I love the way it drives, and handles. The fuel milage is not that great, but are you buying it for economy..prolly not. Due you research, some say there are paint problems with the new Silverado/Sierra.

It's the same truck and from GM, kinda like the Camaro or Firebird polls.

Do what YOU think would like best!

It depends what you're going for, but I'm more of an Avalanche guy myself. Like someone already said, you get the best features of a truck and SUV in one. If your price sensitive though, the Sierra might be the way to go.

We purchased an Avalanche in Sept. last year, went through Mac Haik off Katy freeway to get the one we wanted off the Parkway lot since Parkway wouldn't deal. We LOVE it!

One of the main things I'm considering is I want to tow a big heavy F-body on a trailer behind it. The leaf spring suspension of the Sierra is better for towing I am told, more stable than the coil spring suspension of the Avalanche. Although both have enough power to tow a car. I've always really liked the Avalanche since they changed the body style. But the new Sierra is growing on me as well. If it were to come down to styling, I'd take the Avalanche, but towing a car with it is really more important to me at this point. Also, I like the nice tight turn radius of the Avalanche which makes it alot easier to get in and out of parking lots. A big plus. But you can see my dilema, is styling > towing capabilities? IF so, Avalanche. If not, Sierra. But the styling of the Sierra is very good too. I still can't decide...

The first gen Avalanches had a towing air assisted rear suspension as an option....not sure on the new ones. I just like the Sierra better either way.

Avalanche. My cousin got a loaded blue/green colored one hooked it up with 26 inch rims because that's how she rolls but it's pretty damn cool. I'll try and get a picture.

Here ya go. It's not the best quality it was taken with a camera phone.

i voted Avalanche, i don't like the front of the new trucks very much. The grill and whole front looks better on the tahoe/avalanches imho.

Avalanche! I drive a 03 Z66 Av and enjoy driving it as much today as the first day I got it. The bed covers have faded but thanks to Armadillo wipes it looks as good as new. I was told by Chevy that the new covers don't fade like the older ones.
