Well, i tore it down to replace head gaskets, i replaced the old heads with some ported heads, even installed headers while i was at it, put it all back together without coolant in the motor because if THIS happened i wouldnt have to take EVERYTHING back off, i have ALL the electrical harness hooked back up excepth the O2 sensors, it will spin over but not run, it is getting fuel, also fire. I removed the opti which was falling apart due to the last owner leaving the bolts loose, i tore it down and cleaned it up, reassembled and reinstalled the opti. It doesnt even sputter or pop like it is out of time.

This sounds like the best plan, sorry but even though you cleaned up the opti and you are getting spark, I think the opti is crapped out or you arent getting the fuel you think you are, maybe a regulator or bad fuel rail.

And this can happen from sitting or what? It sat for 3 or 4 months before i had the money to do the new head gaskets.
