LOL Giving away? You really are an idiot aren't you? How many of those LS1 cars you tout are daily drivers and run mid 6s on motor no nitrous needed? None of them not one.
I never saw you step up and run something. I stepped up and had a blast at cash days and was the only car driven around all nite long.
I am giving credit for building a nice combo for the purpose I wanted to a couple of shops that worked hard for me and your talking like you know something about it. To me a street car is full weight (and then some), stereo, AC, full interior, nice street suspension, and pump gas. Once you start cutting weight, losing the AC, drag suspension, 15" wheels...ect it becomes more of a strip car. A street car should be a 100% daily driver type car. And when I say daily driver I am not talking about one that you COULD daily drive, I mean one where you WANT to daily drive. It is 100 degrees outside NOBODY should be rolling without AC in Houston right now, lol. As far as fast cars in Houston, there are all kinds of 900-1000 HP cars, mustangs, corvettes, camaros, trans-ams, supras. There are even some extreme high HP 4 bangers. No idea who is the fastest though, lol.

Anyway, the whole debate of what is a street car and what is not is kinda gay. If my car has cruise control, but no A/C? What if I have a CD player, but no power steering? See, it gets really silly. Nobody is the "Supreme Judge" and everybody has their own personal opinion. There's no way to "win" the argument just based on the vehicle's content.
I don't care what the car really has or does not have as far as options/features/creature comforts. For me, I ask what can the car do? Can you drive it a hour to the track, run a few passes, and drive it an hour home? Can you go more than a few blocks without the police pulling you over? Can you drive it home from work in rush hour traffic without it overheating, loading up, or breaking a valve spring?

To me these arguments of what is or what is not a "street car" are somewhat retarded. Everyone wants to qualify a "street car" to be just like what they have. When in reality if it can be tagged, inspected and insured then it can be driven on the street "legally" there for being considered a "street car".
I see some of you want to throw out the old everything should have A/C, a radio and no roll bar. I guess that means that VW bugs (the originals not the newer ones) and Jeeps can not be considered "street cars". Alot of older cars did not come with A/C so does this mean that we should rush out and buy some aftermarket A/C system and put it on our cars just so we can be considered a "street car"? Do we get penelized for being to safe if we have a roll cage/bar in our car? Just because a car does not have over drive and cruise comfortably on the highway like a late model car does that make it any less of a street car?
