Been there done that and it's no joke actually. If I was a bit more competent bro I'd give you a hand. Stash a few checks and pay to get it done properly is my advice.

Man, If I lived by you I would help you, but its really easy.

Make sure you pull the connector and hoses off the back, and disconnect the fuel lines and plug on the driver side. After that all it is disconnecting the injector plugs, and taking all of the 8mm bolts out.

You will probably want to take off the strut tower brace.

Thanks Josh for the info. I stopped by after work and bought both of the new style sensors $$$$$$. Then stopped by the junkyard and found 2 of those pigtails. After I pulled my intake, I was puzzled. I remembered what you said about 98 sensors being different.......and then it hit me. My motor is a 02 lol. One of the sensors was quite rusted. Anyway, I will finish up this weekend if I don't have to work. I am still thinking about doing that LS6 valley cover, I will read up some more on it.

make sure you didnt crack the oil press sending unit. easy to do when pulling the intake and the brake booster hose knocks into it.

I ended up working the past few weekends but spent a couple hours on it last night. The rubber gasket for the front knock sensor was full of crud. I tried to clean it out and finally decided to pull it hoping not very much would fall inside.

I kinda freaked out. Went and got q-tip and oil and tried to get it out. Then went and got vacum cleaner. Think I got most of it. Will I be ok if i run engine for 10-15 seconds then change oil?

Here is the 04 vette valley cover I bought.

Also, my throttle body came in. I think Bo did a good job.

I am a little worried about the debris and 30-40 mesquitos that may be under this towel. I hope I haven't messed up so far.

I also bought a brand new knock sensor wiring harness for $15 from someone off of this board. Let me know if you have any suggestions I am a noob to this.
