Car value?
Anybody have experience with talking dealers down on ridiculous prices?
I understand it is sweet to find a TA with that low of mileage...but that is still a ridiculous price.
Collectors would pay $29K for this car no problem. Figure they were $35K brand new, over 5 years ago. This low mileage car is basically still brand new, collectors prefer less than 5K miles usually. Due to inflation, if that car were brand new today, it would be a $40K car with 0 miles (pretend it is a 2007 WS6).
I see low mileage collectible cars as someone else paying for the storage of the car for five years, for me.

Prices for low mile F-bodies are still up there because they are hard to find and are still desireable. There are lots of 40,000-100,000 mile cars that are less than half that price, but they likely have been beat on more or modded in a way you might not have gone.
I was looking for a replacement for my stolen 2000 Trans Am last year. I wanted a low mile car (under 10,000 miles). I looked for a while and found some good deals. There was nice NBM 2002 WS6 in Kentucky that had 4000 miles. Price - $24,900. There was SOM 2002 WS6 with only 1200 miles - price - $29,000. I found local (at Texas Direct Auto) and 2001 Black WS6 with only 9,000 miles. It was also a LS1TECH member's car, so I had the opportunity to talk to the first owner. Worked out good. Just be patient and know what you want and what your willing to pay.
