Engagement ring for sale 1ct. / $1,000 (Dallas)
I have a 1ct. total weight ring 1/2 ct. for the center stone and 1/4 ct. for the 2 side stones. The ring is white gold. Would like to get $1,000 but am open to serious offers.
I paid $2,500 for it 3 years ago, the bitch never wore it so it looks brand new. I already know what I can get from a jeweler, just want to sell it to someone that would appreciate it and not turn around and make a profit off me.
The diamonds are princess cut, don't know the clarity or color, but from what I can remember they are pretty good. The lady I bought it from is here in Dallas and sells jewelery to car dealership owners, movie stars, etc.
The pics aren't the best I couldn't get the f*ckin camera to focus. I would be willing to get a $50 appraisal done for a serious buyer.
Thanks,
Eric

im pretty positive a jeweler won't give you $1200 for the ring if you're even lucky enough to find a jeweler to purchase it from you. most will take it to auction for you after you give an asking price and theyll make a bit off the top but to have a jeweler buy it outright form you is pretty rare.

You're right, I can't get $1,200 from a jeweler, never said I could. I can sell it back to the lady I bought it from today if I wanted. But if someone was in the market and looking for a ring around $1,000, this would be a great deal!
How does the auction work?
I'm just not to excited about selling it to a jeweler knowing that they are going to make a 200% profit off me, I'd rather keep it.
Thanks for the reply.

ask a jeweler about taking it to an estate auction. you tell them what you want it sold for, they add their piece, and they try and sell it. dont ask too much though because it may never sell.
id also check out the diamond exchange there in dfw. i think they buy rings.

yeah, I thought about taking it to the diamond exchange, I might do that now. The mark up in jewelery is worse than cars, furniture or anything else you buy, makes me want to never buy jewelery again. Couldn't hurt to get another quote. Thanks man!

I don't know, if you're here in DFW, I would be more than happy to meet up with you. If you are seriously in the market, I'm going to Dallas jewelery exchange tomorrow and would be willing to get a professional appraisal.
