That's pretty much what my parents did when I was about 5. We came from Concord/Walnut Creek (Bay Area) and settled into a small apartment until they found a house. 20+ years later, they're still in Allen.

Ft. Worth is nice. Traffic is much better than in Dallas. The N side of Ft. Worth gets pretty congested though. I live south of town for that reason.

What kind of employment are your parents looking for?

BTW, if you or your parents are liberals please stay in CA. We don't want any more Hillary (Senator Palpatine) Clinton environazis here

If you are into cars and hot women Texas is the best spot trust me I have been all over US. If you like gay people, weather, stupid laws, and way too expensive 2 bedroom houses California is your spot. I lived in the valley near Fresno for 4 yrs and I am so glad to be in Texas. I hatE LA. I never saw any fast cars in Cali except Sunset Blvd with stupid lamborginis and imports. You will like it way better here except the weather sucks.

Dallas is about a 4 hour straight shot from Houston (I have made it in under 3.5 hours). If you want the fastest of the fast... go to Houston. Other than that, Texas has a very fast car population.
