Default FS: Torque Thrust II's 17x9.5/ 17x11 - Houston

I am selling a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II's. I had picked them up from a fellow LS1tech member and plans fell through on these and I need to go ahead and sell them. The 17x9.5's are just the rims and the 17x11's come with worn down GSD3 315's, if you don't already have 315's for them. They are the proper offset, fit is excellent, and they will give any car some serious attitude. I polished them and they look great! I'm asking $700 obo. I will take paypal also at fastflames2000@yahoo.com and if you have any questions just pm me.

I don't want to ship these and will meet around the Houston area. Not taking dibs on them since I need the money soon, so first with cash in hand gets them. Will post pics this evening.

The previous owner said, "Someone wanted to know about any curb rash. These were on my daily driver for about 4 years so they did get a bit of rash here and there." and "Right now all 4 are virtually free of any scratches on the lip.", "There are a few spots between the tire lip and rim where if you look real close you can see the rash, and with a tire that has a rim protector built in, it will be covered up."

These rears hold air fine if you don't already have some 315's for them, but my 275's fronts aren't in very good condition, so I'm removing them. I don't want to ship them, so it will be pick up only around the Houston area. I'm close to Hobby Airport. I replaced them with a new set of 19's.

They are the proper offset and the fit is excellent. They will give any car some serious attitude. The fat 315's just look awesome in my opinion. Here are a few pics.

They can stand to be shined up and is what I was thinking of doing, or else chroming, until I decided to go to with the bigger rims. Right now they are still dirty with brake dust. I'll try and clean them up. I'm asking $500 for them.

If your not familiar with running 315's in the rear, they will fit the Camaro and TA without mods if you are at stock height. Once you begin to lower the car, you will need to do mods. There are several threads on this in the Tires section.

Ill give you 500.

Look fellows, the man can ask whatever he wants for them... Have you ever got a good deal on something and ended up turning around and selling it for more than you bought it for?? Give the man a break, if you don't want to buy them then keep you comments to yourself. Common courtesy.

I have, they are his and he can sell them for whatever he wished, just because he got them for $500 doesnt bring the value down. I do the same ****, get a good deal and make some profit off of it. BUMP for some nice rims.

and as to the quoted pics of previous post, you do not have to mod a lowered car to fit 315's, I have 315's in the rear, and nothing done to it, you mite have to roll the fender to keep from blowing the tire but other than that its fine.

Sure he COULD sell them for a profit on tech, but why price gouge fellow members on the board. I mean if the wheels were mint and had tires I could see a small price increase. But trying to make a good chunk of change off of another member, to me, is ghey.

Sell that **** on eBay and get at LEAST $700 for them.

Thanks. But it never fails that they can't keep their comments to themselves.

My thoughts exactly. And I didn't have to do the wheel well mod either, that's why I didn't add it to my post.

People People Give the Guy a break, it's a cutthroat world, dog eat dog, let him make his money he was obviously smart enought to think of it. But I do agree with comment on the price gaugeign with Ls1tech members, take that **** to Ebay and save your self the drama.

I did put obo at the end which means (Or Best Offer) and my bad for not adding no low balling to that.

Posts from the thread the wheels were originally purchased from:

It is, since I paid full price for my first set.

I got this offer right after I bought them.

I am going to the LSX shootout next month. I was going to put street tires on the rears for the trip over there so I didn't have to dismount the drag radials.
I'm not going to be able to do that now because I've got tickets I need to pay for.

Look man you need to let it go and move on. I had plans for the wheels and had no intentions of flipping them, as I said need the money now.
And I definately believe they are worth more than $500.

I just plan on selling them locally. Thanks though.
