For the price range your looking in your going to get a piece of ****. So save your money until you can afford something in better shape. Just get a pos daily driver if you need a car that bad. Your gonna have nothing but problems if you buy one of the pieces of **** you listed above.

He really fixed up your old car, he must be some mechanic.

The things we fixed were just fine. I just didn't have the money to fix everything that needed to be fixed.

You just need to save your money. When you start modding these cars it gets expensive. How much money do you make?

Well, I don't really plan on modding the cars if at all. I only did minor bolt-ons to the LT1. I'm actually looking for some part-time work. My planned class schedule changed, so it's complicating my available hours for work. I do make a very little bit from the church playing in the worship band.

Dude, if you need a car real bad then buy that Sebring that is for sale on here! It might not be the pimpest or the fastest but it will get you to where you need to go with your current income. Wait until you get a better paying job before getting a sports car. Can you afford the insurance and the premium gas with your small income?

I have a 2000 Z28 with 5.3L powerplant I'd let go. I need a four door badly! It's auto, T-top, leather, black....overall condition I'd say is 8 out of 10 (aftermarket hood didn't get the best paint job)...new tires, no rips or stains in leather or carpet. Gets good mileage (17 in the city, 28ish on the highway). It has Mac mid-lengths, ORY, cutout, and a Flowmaster catback, as well as a K&N filter for the functional ram-air hood.

I give up; common sense isn't a learned trait.

He is just wanting either someone to argue with which makes him half woman or he is waiting for someone to tell him that they look badass and that he should go have sex with the car!!

And what does assuming do? I never said I was buying any of the aforementioned cars. I posted this thread because I wanted other people's input. Obviously, I don't want another high-mileage vehicle.

It was fine. The only thing that didn't work the entire time was the AC. Granted, I did have to replace several smaller things, though, such as the water pump, window motor, radiator tank, etc., and optispark earlier this yar. The only major thing I replaced was the transmission back in 2004.

Well, obviously, if you cannot afford a newer or low-mileage car you have to make some compromises. I didn't expect to have zero problems. Like I said, though, I don't want another high-mileage vehicle. But at what point is an LS1 or LT1 considered high mileage? 100K? 120K? What?

I've had three hardtop f-bodies, they still leak in the same place as a t-top car, at the corners of the side windows. The roof itself doesn't change the shape of the seal or shape of the window. It is the design of the glass and rubber seal that allow the leak.
