I got mine done by a friend in austin with a fender roller, seemed pretty simple, heat gun and fender roller. it helped me a ton with my nittos (17x11 ZR1s with 315s in the rear), they would always scrape, but now I have VERY few problems with scraping.
one thing though when you get it done...it's pretty much impossible NOT to crack the paint in those areas, there's always going to be just a wee bit of chipping from what I've seen, but it's not that noticeable unless you're less than a foot away from the fender or something. that's just my experience with it though.
Baseball bat and straight edge razer.....
cut a line to prevent cracking and spidering of the paint. ...... use the bat and tire to roll the fender while the car is rolling .... very slowly... helps to heat the fender first with a heat gun on the inside.

I alsoI had 17x11 with 315's on them and they didn't rub the fender even when it wasn't rolled. I had to roll them because my 335's rub when there is a passenger and I'm going up a steep incline.
i have 17x10.5 with 315s and i only have problems on the passenger side when i go around a left turn too fast. only cut the tire about 1/16 of an inch. i might eventually do a small fender roll, but i have access to a free roller.
Like Inspector12 said, it's really easy to do, and if you take the time to do it right, you shouldn't have any problems.
