Unhappy Blew my tranny last night

Well..... like the title says, i blew my tranny last night on 1-10 going home from mid-town. I decided it was a good idea to max my car out (top speed), got up to about 165ish and stayed at that speed for a little bit. I then started slowing down only to find out my car wasn't driving normally anymore. I've done this before without having any probs but i guess last night was it..

So i pulled over on north mason, only to be met by 2 cops. (of course i had been drinking) They didn't harass me much and in fact they took off after someone shortly after stopping behind me. So I had Golbows come tow my car home.

Anyway, i noticed a ton of "fluid" underneath my car and i rubbed and smelled it, and i honestly couldn't tell what kind of fluid it is but my engine seems to be in perfect shape. I haven't gone outside yet to look at it but i'm sure its the tranny.

This ****** sucks bad!! Anyone know how much I'm getting ready to spend?

I feel bad enough about the situation as it is but I definitely deserve the harshness... So thanks, I guess I really do need it.

this is really a pretty hellacious response. but yet again - for the 42nd time or so - I WASNT DRUNK.. I had a mild buzz. Just threw the drinking part in because I had interaction with two cops. If I was really drunk they would have taken my *** in. But thanks for the kind words "freddy"

An A4 vents at the top of the case just behind the bellhousing. There is a small steel tube that will have a rubber hose attached to it that directs fluid towards the passengers side of the trans case. This is where you will find a big mess if it did puke ATF.

How does the unit shift? How long were you at WOT? And most importantly... what is the fluid condition and level today?

If you need more help just P.M. me or give me a call at the shop, I'll be here a while this evening.

Good Luck.

Oh... I was young and dumb too. Only, I learned my lesson the same as you. Don't push your luck with the alcohol and speed thing. Really bad things happen when those two mix.

the fluid level is below the 80 degree mark, so I obviously need fluid. As far as it shifting.. I had the car towed to my house and parked it along the curb in from of my house overnight. I just pulled it into the driveway but in 1st it drives as though i have a flat tire and kind of stutters.. I don't know a better way to explain it. Is this from a lack of fluid or is it more serious?

As far as the puke, it puked ALL over the place. and my undercarriage is still soaked. I was at WOT (maxed out) for at least a full minute i would imagine..

So what do you suggest?
